Healthy Hack – Smoothie Prepping

As the summer winds down & life gets more hectic I was concerned that I would not be able to keep up with my nutrition…it is usually the 1st thing to go when chaos ensues. In the past I’ve ordered pre-made smoothie blends, but let’s face it they are a bit pricey and for me a luxury I don’t splurge on often. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The benefits of pre-made smoothies are endless, but here is what I LOVE: ease, portability, and nutritional value. To try and recreate what I was having delivered hinges on the vessel to hold my smoothie ingredients!!! After a bit of research I found a product on Amazon that checked all the boxes…durable, reusable, food safe, travel friendly, and freezer safe. Don’t get me wrong there is time invested in prepping the smoothie bags, but the cost savings and ease factor are worth it. Grabbing the bag out of the freezer, dumping the contents into my blender with liquid and superfood protein mix took less than 3 minutes. For folks tracking macros (carbs, fat, and protien) this is a great way to also know exactly what ratios are in each smoothie.

Where you focus goes, you energy will flow…solid nutrition is the foundation for me to feel great! Staying on track when school starts just got easier. 🌱
